How to Reset My Password

If you use email authentication or a PIN to log in, you will not have a password for your account. So, you cannot follow these steps. Please see the article on how to log in to Stream instead. Here are the steps to reset your password: If you are having trouble logging in: 1. Open the Stream app. 2. Enter your Email. 3. Tap Next. 4. Tap Request a new one. 5. Tap Request a password. Depending on your email's settings, these can take up to 30 minutes to arrive and might go to junk or spam. Do not ask for new ones during this wait, as the links will become invalid. 6. Once you get this email, tap the RESET MY PASSWORD link. This will open a new browser window. 7. Enter your new password, confirm it, and then hit Reset Password. 8. After your password is reset, you need to close the Stream app on your phone completely before logging in with your new details. If you are already logged in: 1. Log in to the Stream App. 2. Tap your Profile Picture in the top right corner. 3. Tap Security Settings. 4. Tap Change password. 5. Enter your current password. If you cannot remember it, please log out and follow the steps above. 6. Enter a new password. Passwords must be at least 8 characters long and different from the last one used. 7. Confirm new password. 8. Tap Set Password. 9. After your password is reset, you need to close the Stream app on your phone completely before logging in with your new details. Password Resets not working? If you ask for more than one password reset while the system is already making a previous one, the login details will get mixed up and become invalid. To fix this, do the following: 1. Close the Stream app. 2. Clear your device's cache. 3. Restart the device. 4. Wait 30 minutes. Do not open the Stream app during this time. 5. After 30 minutes, ask for a new login again. 6. Wait another 30 minutes for it to reach you. 7. Tap the RESET MY PASSWORD link, which will open a new browser window. 8. Enter your new password, confirm it, and then hit Reset Password. 9. Go back to the Stream app and enter your new password. Not receiving Password reset emails at all? Check your junk and spam folders in case our emails are going there. If you are using a work email address, we suggest asking your IT Team to make sure our emails are not being blocked or sent elsewhere. Otherwise, contact the Customer Support Team, and they can investigate for you.
