The below refers to salaried employees. If you are hourly, we will receive your shifts as sent by your employer.
To calculate your daily salary, Stream takes the annual salary reported by your employer and divides it by the number of working days in each month.
Since the number of working days varies from month to month, the amount you earn daily will change slightly. This variation, typically by a few pounds, is normal and does not change the total amount you are set to receive for the month.
Example: If your gross annual salary is £30,000, which equals £2,500 per month, and you earn salary every day (Monday through Sunday):
In January (31 days):
£2,500 / 31 days = £80.65 gross accrual per day
In February (usually 28 days):
£2,500 / 28 days = £89.29 gross accrual per day
The amount shown in your app may also vary depending on the access limits set by your employer. However, this will not affect your actual salary on payday.
We receive your annual salary directly from your employer and use this to calculate your daily rate. If this is incorrect, you will need to speak to your employer to ensure they send us the correct figure for you. Please note that we cannot change this on our end.
