What is the Difference Between Discounts, Deals, Gift Cards, and Cashback?

There are 4 different ways you can save on your shopping using the Rewards section of the app: discounts, deals, gift cards, and cashback.

 What is the difference?

Discounts: Online codes that are copied to your phone's clipboard. These can be entered at online checkout when buying something.

Deals: This tells you about offers or promotions on the retailer's website that we think are helpful.

Gift Cards (previously Vouchers): They require you to buy the gift card upfront. By doing so, you will get a percentage off the price. To pay for gift cards, you must buy with your Pay balance, and Pay fees may apply. For example, if you buy a £100 gift card at 5% off, you will only pay £95, but get a gift card worth £100.

Cashback: Cashback gives you some extra money for making your normal purchases through the Stream app. You can choose to shop with 'Cashback only' or receive this on top of any other discount or deal you choose to use (where cashback is available).

Can they be used together?

Cashback is eligible for all offers where specified, but cannot be earned when buying or using a gift card.

How do I know which retailer does what?

Once you have chosen a retailer, you will see the available options at the top of the page.
